Predatory Drugs

Predatory drug is a term that was coined by the DEA to classify drugs that are typically used in sexual assault. The three main drugs that law enforcements have noticed to be prevalent in these types of cases include rohylpnol, kentamine and GHB. The dangers of predatory drugs are:

  • Victims often are unaware that they have consumed the drug. They are often dissolved in drinks, and are tastless and odorless.
  • They have severely inebriating effects. Temporary paralysis and memory loss can occur, rendering victims incapable of defending themselves.
  • These drugs are metabolized quickly and will provide little evidence of assault by the time law enforcement is notified.
  • Memory loss further nullifies evidence of attack.
